In Las Vegas you can shop, gamble and marry,
not necessarily in this order. However,
you will have to find out where to eat, where to stay and where to play.
It is a city for indulging in excesses.
Most of Las Vegas buildings have been inspired by
different world tourist attractions. They have tried to represent:
Venice, Paris, Hollywood, Paris, Rio, Monte Carlo, etc.
It seems that the city is a concoction of cultures and architects
have tried to capture the atmosphere and enchantment of all these destinations.
With its Eiffel Tower and Sphinx at the Luxor,
Las Vegas is practically “copy-paste” from the world’s best landscapes.

Hotels in Las Vegas
If you can afford it, you shall stay in
one of the themed Las Vegas hotels. When one of the hotels was
opened, the whole city gasped. It was supposed to
imitate Venice and it has certainly captured some of the
Italian grandeur. In the lobby there are frescoes and vaulted ceilings,
marble flooring, classical columns. You can marry on the
Wedding Gondola in the improvised
Grand Canal – the gondoliers sing as they pole their boats.
You can waste or win a fortune at the Hotel Casino.
There is a hotel which imitates Caesar’s Palace – with a Cleopatra
lounge where cocktail goddesses wear white Greek togas
and there are white Greek statues in the lobby.
One of the hotels has a hot tub up to 25 people. In one of
the hotels Elvis has stayed 837 times. There are tropical atriums,
island music and waterfalls, marble bathrooms, luxurious spas.
Las Vegas is the place for budget, improvised weddings.
If you are a couple you can spend quality time
in the hotel room. It has to be 24 hours room service,
plenty of champagne, white bathrobes
and warm slippers, a king-size bed, a hot tub
and a view – some really romantic fun. In this environment,
you can remake the lovely hotel scene from Pretty Woman,
when the protagonists were both lying in the
bath and she was explaining to him the truth about her very long legs.
If Las Vegas was a lady, she would have
butterfly wings and move like Dita von Teese.
She has got to be a show-girl with ornate, bright pink attire.
It is a really provocative scene, where one can learn to fly,
to smoke and to gamble. Unlike Arabian Casinos,
full of mostly tasteless décor – Las Vegas’s casinos are full of high,
cabaret style – beautiful women with feathers
are practically everywhere. It is the city of show, night and day.
On the casino tables one might spot women with a low
neckline and cigars, who cheer the best players. Las Vegas women
wear stylish masks and fans like Parisian ladies of the olden
days. Everywhere it feels you are in the court.
So, fix your obligatory, black tie, Mister and come to
the city of lights, where the night is full of mermaids,
made for loving, and the day returns too soon. Las Vegas has got the Jack!
